Leading tyre manufacture Kumho has stressed the importance of tyre maintenance ahead of the upcoming summer holiday period.
In a bid to raise awareness Kumho will be releasing a series of tyre safety videos the over the next five weeks via its social media channels to guide motorists through simple tyre checks.

The safety series videos include: correct inflation, wheel alignment, sidewall maintenance and ensuring the spare tyre is in working order.
According to Kumho Tyre Australia national marketing and training manager, David Basha, now is the time to ensure your car is ready for summer.
"There is no point waiting until the day before you go away to check your car is ready for a trip," said David Basha.
"Motorists should check tyre pressures and tread condition on a regular basis but it's even more important before a family holiday.
"Ensuring your car's tyres are at the correct pressures not only makes it a more comfortable and safer ride but can also save you fuel and money."
The most important checks on a tyre are pressure, sidewall condition and tread block condition.
A passenger vehicle tyre must by law have at least 1.5 millimeters of tread depth to be road worthy and to minimise the risk of aquaplaning in wet conditions.
"Far too many motorists leave it to the last minute to check tyres and get stuck having to replace them the day before going away or worse endanger lives by taking to the road on unsafe ones," said David.
"A tyre check only takes a couple of minutes to do properly but can save getting stranded with a flat or failing tyre.
"If in doubt, head down to your local Kumho dealer for an expert opinion," he added.
Kumho Platinum Dealers across Australia are also giving Kumho customers the chance to win the price of their new tyres back in the lead up to Christmas to encourage drivers to be prepared for summer.
Simply buy four Kumho tyres from a Platinum Dealer, register at www.winyourtyresback.com.au and go into the weekly draw to win back the price of your tyres.
