Korean tyre manufacturer Kumho Tyres and leading driver education organisation Driving Solutions have teamed up to help make our roads a safer place by making advanced driver education more attainable and cost effective.
Drivers purchasing a set of four Kumho tyres will receive a 33 per cent discount on a Driving Solutions training course saving up to $100 on normal prices.
Buy a set of four Kumho tyres for a car or SUV and you will receive a discount code, which can be used to access the discount rate for Driving Solutions two-stage driver education program, which is normally priced at $250 but for Kumho customers the price, is reduced to $167.50.
In addition Driving Solutions is offering customers the chance to split the one day - two stage course and take the morning and afternoon stages on different days making it more convenient negating the need to take a full day off work.
Driving Solutions has been providing advanced driver education courses for the past 12 years and company principal James Stewart has more than 20 years' experience in the driver training industry.
James Stewart believes the key to driver education is making it accessible to the general public and shaking the notion that driver training courses are motor sport related and breed over confidence and arrogance.
Driving Solutions offers courses at a range of locations including Sydney Olympic Park and Penrith Regatta Centre and will soon offer courses in Newcastle, the Sutherland Shire, Wollongong, Brisbane and Melbourne.
"Driving Solutions' aim is to make responsible driver training available to a wider cross section of motorists and to teach better driving skills and real world driving scenarios including crash avoidance and low friction driving."
"With Kumho's support we are able to give Kumho buyers a major discount and make it as easy as possible for them to access proper driver training such as splitting the course into a morning and afternoon session with no obligation to complete both stages on the same day.
Drivers of all levels can take part in the courses offered by Driving Solutions including learner drivers with more than 40 hours experience.
David Basha, national marketing and training manager at Kumho Tyre Australia, feels driver training is often over looked in road safety.
"Training and education is a major contributing factor to road safety," said David Basha.
"We are proud to be able to partner with Driving Solutions in order to improve road safety through better driver training and education and safer drivers."
