International tyre giant Kumho Tyres has announced its two year digital partnership with one of Melbourne’s most historically recognised AFL Clubs, the Richmond Tigers.
The Korean tyre company, which produces in excess of 68 million tyres per year, already has a strong involvement in Australian sport including sponsorship of now two ‘Aussie Rules’ teams.
As part of the digital partnership, the Kumho brand features sponsorship of various social media initiatives throughout the year as well as one of Richmond’s home matches at the MCG.
According to David Basha, Kumho Tyre Australia’s national and training manager, Kumho is proud to be a part of the Richmond culture.
“Richmond has one of the most dedicated supporter bases in the AFL competition and Kumho is excited to be a part of this loyal and passionate culture,” said David Basha.
“We are looking forward to a solid first year with the Tigers and will be there every step of the way as they aim for the finals in 2012.”
Richmond Football Club CEO, Brendon Gale is equally thrilled about the partnership and believes Richmond FC and Kumho are a match for each other.
“We’re excited to welcome Kumho Tyres into the Richmond family,” Brendon Gale said.
“Our digital media platforms are a critical tool for engaging with our fans, and we are proud to partner with an equally dynamic brand like Kumho Tyres.
“We look forward to helping each other grow through 2012 and beyond.
