KUMHO SLAM DUNKS TO BECOME FIRST NBA TYRE SPONSOR

Kumho Tyre has become the first company to sign on as tyre sponsor for the most prestigious basketball series in the world, America's NBA.

Kumho has supported the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat in the past but increased its support in 2014 to become a series sponsor of both the NBA and Development League for 2014 and beyond.

According to Kumho Tyre Australia national marketing and training manager, David Basha, supporting sport is important to Kumho both internationally and in Australia.

"Kumho is proud to be the first tyre sponsor for the pinnacle of basketball, the NBA," said David Basha.

"The NBA has a vast audience across world so it is fitting that a global company like Kumho is on board as a partner."

 

Here in Australia Kumho supports NRL as a partner of the St George Illawarra Dragons and AFL as an Adelaide Crows sponsor.

 

In 2014 Kumho Australia is set to continue its associations with both the Dragons and the Crows.

 

"Obviously motor sport is a key area for Kumho but we also see merit in supporting other sporting codes," said David Basha.

 

"Football has proven to be a great way to reach a new market for Kumho in Australia and I have no doubt NBA basketball will do the same for Kumho on a global scale," he said.
