According to Kumho Tyre Australia national marketing and training manager, David Basha, the brief for engineers producing the Ecsta PS91 was to hold nothing back and create the ultimate super high performance road tyre to match the high performance capabilities and the demands of the latest super high performance road cars.
"High performance cars place much greater demands on tyres than regular passenger cars so it's essential the right rubber is fitted to these thoroughbreds of the road," David Basha said.

The Ecsta PS91 uses the most advanced technology as well as the latest developments in compounds and construction.
Using the latest generation silica compound the Ecsta PS91 provides exceptional grip levels when it counts most - putting power to the ground as well as braking and high speed cornering.
The sidewall and tread blocks are stiffer than conventional Ultra - High Performance tyres in order to deal with higher stress loads and enhance handling characteristics.
Heat releasing dimple technology has been developed to dissipate excess heat and cool the tread to ensure the PS91 operates at its optimum temperature without overheating while reducing stress on the casing of the tyre.

The front tyres have been designed to provide the most agile cornering and cope with the sudden forces of braking while the rear tread optimises drive off turns.
"Kumho has taken every step to step to ensure Ecsta PS91 is the most advanced tyre it has ever produced and utilise its motor sport research and development," David said.
Kumho has strong motor sport ties around the world and is the tyre provider to Auto GP, the French Formula 4 series, Masters of Formula 3, China Touring Car Championship and Germany's VLN endurance series. Locally it is the sole tyre supplier to the Kumho V8 Touring Cars series, Formula 3 championship and the Australia Rally Championship.
David Basha says the Ecsta PS91 is the result of the direct application of motor sport technology to Kumho's road tyres.
"Kumho has learnt enormously about high performance motoring through its involvement in motor sport around the world and the Ecsta PS91 is the result of the research and development gleaned from its work at race circuits," said David Basha.
"Our customers directly benefit from the research and development motor sport provides us with.
"Grip counts for everything on a race track and the road it is no different," he added.
Ecsta PS91 is available in eight sizes from specialist Kumho performance dealers.
