Leading Tyre brand Kumho Tyres has announced an Adelaide tyre dealer, Rosewater Tyres as its 2023 Platinum Dealer of the Year.
Rosewater Tyres clinched the top Kumho award after posting another strong and consistent performance throughout the past year excelling in customer service, sales and overall operations.
The company has been a Kumho Platinum Dealer since owner David Lowe established the business back in 2013, and was appointed as a high level Kumho Platinum Dealer six years ago.
David Lowe has spent a lifetime in the tyre business including 15 years in tyre recycling but says the past 11 years as a Kumho dealer has been the best time he has had in the industry.
Kumho Tyres Australia National Retail Operations Manager, Paul Deer praised David Lowe and his team at Rosewater Tyres for their dedication and focus on delivering great customer service as well strong sales performance across all sectors.
“We congratulate David and his team for the well-deserved accolade in being named the Kumho Tyres Platinum Dealer of the Year, and the strong and consistent performance from the team at Rosewater Tyres is why they clinched the title,” said Paul Deer.
When asked what enabled Rosewater Tyres to win the Platinum Dealer of the Year Award, David Lowe was quick to praise Kumho for its support and product in helping achieve the goals.
“I think just being associated with Kumho is the secret, you’ve got the strength of a strong manufacturer and all we have done is adhere to the program, which is what Kumho is looking for its dealers to do,” he said.
“We haven't found it that hard, we are always increasing our sales, we’re always making our targets, and promoting the product and the Kumho Platinum dealer brand.
“With every year we seem to be higher up on our sales target, so it's just basically embracing the Platinum program and running with it.
“We’ve had a lot of support from Kumho, they paint your building and supply all the marketing collateral etc, so you can’t complain, they really look after us.
“When I opened Rosewater Tyres I had lots of companies approach me to sell their tyres but Kumho was one of the first and they looked after me even when I didn't have many sales to even justify being looked after, they made us feel special, and they looked out for us from day one,” Lowe said .
“So we’ve been loyal to them, and it's a reciprocal arrangement, Kumho is loyal to us. They’re good people to deal with and the Platinum program is excellent, so it's a win-win situation for everyone”.
“So from our point of view, Kumho is an easy product to sell, they are high mileage, high performance tyres and they deliver everything from your mum and dad's everyday tyre to high performance tyres,” he said.
With winning the National Award, Rosewater Tyres was also named South Australian Platinum Dealer of the Year.
