Pink Fitters Day to raise awareness and money for McGrath Breast Care Nurses
Kumho Tyre Dealers nationwide will team up for Pink Fitters Day on Saturday, 4 May 2013 in support of the McGrath Foundation.
Nova FM’s Fitzy & Wippa have also come on board to support the national initiative in 2013, asking all Aussies to wear pink on May 4.
On Pink Fitters Day, Kumho Dealer staff will replace their uniforms with pink shirts and Kumho Tyres Australia will donate $5 from every single Kumho branded tyre sold – aiming to raise a total of $50,000 to help support the work of the McGrath Foundation’s Breast Care Nurses.
McGrath Breast Care Nurses provide professional support, counselling, and medical care to women diagnosed and undergoing treatment for breast cancer, that are located in rural and regional areas where services are not available or easily accessible.
“The money raised each year from Pink Fitters Day is essential to ensure that the work of our Breast Care Nurses can continue. We are very fortunate to have friends like Kumho Tyres who are committed to support our work,” says Tracy Bevan, McGrath Foundation Ambassador and Director.
More than 250 Kumho Tyre dealerships and suppliers around the country will be taking part in this event.
Selected Kumho Tyres dealerships will also hold a free BBQ from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the day, and in some locations McGrath Foundation Breast Care Nurses will be on hand to answer any questions and talk about their rewarding work. Nova radio’s street team, the Casanovas will also be at selected Kumho dealerships around the country with giveaways and more.
Visit the Kumho Tyres website or Facebook page to locate participating Kumho Tyres dealers, and find out where the Breast Care Nurses and Casanovas will be.
So if you’re thinking of tyres, think pink and support Pink Fitters Day!
