KUMHO CHOSEN AGAIN AS ORGINAL EQUIPMENT BY THE THREE POINTED STAR

Leading Tyre manufacturer Kumho has received another endorsement of its quality and engineering standards with Daimler Benz again selecting Kumho as an OE fit on one of its flagship 4x4 models.

Mercedes Benz has chosen Kumho's Solus KL21 as original equipment on its most serious 4x4 offering, the G-Class.

The company has already selected Kumho tyres for a number of other models in recent times and the choice of the Solus KL21 underlines Kumho's credentials in the tyre industry as a supplier of  high quality performance  tyres.

According to Kumho Tyre Australia's national manager for marketing and training, David Basha, the selection of the Solus KL21 for the Mercedes G-Class is a vote of confidence in Kumho by one of the world's most esteemed vehicle manufacturers, which is known for its quality and high standards.



"Mercedes takes tyre choice very seriously, ensuring any rubber it chooses can meet the high standards and performance criteria it imposes," said David Basha.

"Clearly Kumho has a strong and proven track record with Mercedes and the choice of the Solus KL21 equips the G-Class well for  both  on and off road duties matching the capabilities of the rugged Mercedes off roader," he said.

The Korean company has already begun supplying the Solus KL21 in 265/60 R18 110H size for the G Class, adding another string to its Mercedes-Benz original equipment agreement bow.

Kumho already supplies the Solus KH 15 in 185/65 R15 size the A-Class and the Ecsta KU19 for the Viano, while various Sprinter van and Actros truck models, along with the Smart city car are also delivered with Kumho tyres as original equipment.
