Bruce and Marg Gow set off from Melbourne in January for a trip up the east coast in their Kumho shod Toyota LandCruiser.A couple living out their retirement dream of touring Australia with their caravan has praised the performance and comfort of the Kumho KL61 Road Venture tyres fitted to their Toyota LandCruiser as well as the service they have received from Kumho dealers around Australia.
Bruce and Marg Gow set off from home outside Melbourne in January for a trip up the east coast driving their Toyota LandCruiser 100 series towing a 24 ft caravan.
Six months on the road has tested the Kumho KL61s in varying conditions and temperatures across the Australian countryside and plan to spend another four months on the road before returning home.
According to Bruce Gow the 60,000km guarantee and all terrain capabilities of the KL61 were determining factors in selecting Kumho.
"We originally looked at another tyre but we decided the Kumho had the best qualities for the mix of highway, sand and mud driving we were planning," said Bruce Gow.
"Matthew Urquhart and the team at our local Tyrepower dealer in Sunbury suggested we try the Road Venture SAT and we've been very happy with the performance.
"The 60,000km warranty was definitely a factor in the decision and after one rotation the performance has been excellent," he said.

Click here to find out more"The Kumho's had their first service when we passed through Newcastle and again the service from Tyrepower was fantastic," Bruce said.
"We've had consultation with the dealers when it comes to setting tyre pressures for the optimum comfort and tyre life."
Bruce and Marg have been astonished by the lack of road noise as well as the ride and comfort of the Road Venture SATs.
"We have certainly noticed how quiet the tyres are because they are considerably quieter than the tyres we replaced," said Bruce.
"At first we thought the ride was a little harsh however after consulting with our Kumho dealer we adjusted the tyre pressure and have since found them to be very comfortable."
Bruce and Marg haven't limited their adventure to smooth highways and tarmac roads having put the KL61s through a rigorous soft sand test on Queensland's Rainbow Beach.
"The tyres handled the task extremely well and just breezed through it," said Bruce.

"We like to mix our trips up and spend time doing bush camping as well as using caravan parks and showgrounds when we park up so we definitely use the tyres across all conditions."
Bruce says when the time comes to replace the KL61s they will be fitting another set of Kumho on the LandCruiser and is already planning on fitting a set of Kumho's Radial 857 light commercial tyre on the van.
"I've got a lot of faith in the Kumho and there is no reason I won't choose them again," added Bruce.
